LA POUTINE
Oil Free : Vegan : Whole Food Plant Based : Gluten Free

Poutine originates from Quebec, consisting of French Fries and Cheese, topped with a brown gravy. This recipe combines a few of my previous recipes to make this savory dish.

Ingredients
3 lb Potatoes cut into fries
2 1/2 Cups Diced Mushrooms
1/2 Cup Diced Onion
4 Cloves Minced Garlic
2 1/2 Cups Vegetable Broth
1 TSP each Pepper & Salt
1 TBSP Thyme
1 TSp Rosemary
1/4 Cup Kidney Beans
1 TBSP Fancy Molasses
One batch of Veg-Cheese Sauce
Directions
Follow my Perfect Oil Free French Fries Method to prepare your potatoes. While your fries bake make your Veg-Cheese Sauce.

For the Gravy : In a pan combine the Mushroom, Onion, Beans, Garlic and Spices. Cook on medium to high heat 5-10 minutes until browned. Transfer to a high speed blender or Food Processor. Add in the Vegetable Broth and Molasses. Blend until smooth.
Fill a bowl with a generous amount of hot fries, spoon dollops of Veg-Cheese Sauce on the fries and then top the dish with hot, hot gravy. Serve immediately. Bon Appétit !
